The scholarly record is as much defined by the information we have access to as the information we don’t. A journal article from a prestigious society can tell us the scientific methodology, results and conclusions of a significant research study, but what of the story behind it? What historical context shaped the study to begin with? What perspectives must be taken into account and how does that affect our interpretation of the literature?
Introducing Wiley Digital Archives
Wiley Digital Archives is an ongoing initiative to partner with the world’s leading societies, libraries and archives to digitize the unique and rare primary sources that tell the story behind the contemporary research content we publish today. By transposing these precious artifacts into a discoverable online format, researchers can easily access critical source materials that enable closer understanding and more nuanced interpretation of published work.
